Sexually Transmitted Infections are still in our community and some infections are on the rise here. Sexual partners may not always be 100% honest with us about their sexual history. Know your risks. Take precautions. Get tested regularly.

PrEP is available free in N.I.

PEP is also available in case you think you have been exposed to HIV

If you think you have been exposed to HIV, the NHS will make 'PEP' available to you. External Link. PEP is most effective if taken within 72 hours of exposure and will usually entail a course of medication for one month.

Many STIs are curable or manageable when caught early. All testing centres are confidential and will provide you the best advice suitable to your individual needs.
