Its been a while since we did a community update and today we have some nice news to report

The committee got together with Paul Bloomer from the Belfast Bears another great men only social group based in Belfast.
We are happy to report that Paul has agreed to come on board and work with The Mens Group to consolidate our events and members groups.
Our hopes are that working together we can organise more events and bring more people together and expand our social networks.
What happens next?
Largely it is going to be business as usual. We are looking at the resources of both groups and finding the best approach to consolidate those resources.
Belfast Bears has largely been active on facebook - so we will likely maintain and continue to post on that page/group. Similarly, our own Discord is very active too - so we will probably try to consolidate the Belfast Bears discord into The Mens Group discord server.
We have already got a recurring bowling event setup in April - which will be a great time for Belfast Bear's and The Men's Group members to socialise and introduce themselves.
Going forward, we will most likely try to further integrate Belfast Bears facebook into our infrastructure so that events we add are posted to Belfast Bear's page/group pages automatically. Im sure you can appreciate that the more social media platforms we have, the more effort it is to manage them - so any automations we can setup will help ensure that both communities are kept informed of upcoming events.
Code of Conduct updates
In order to keep our community safe- we have put together a 'more' comprehensive code of conduct. We encourage everyone to read this document.
Complaint Process
We are standardising the complaint process. If people wish to make a complaint or provide feedback to the group, they can do so via our online form. Contact the Committee. If you have a complaint, we ask that you fill the form in correctly and accurately. To be absolutely fair to every member in our community, we need to make sure that complaints are sent to management in a reasonable way - eg: Written form.
While members can always approach the committee to share concerns, complaints about the group, members or events should be in written form via the provided contact form.
